Welcome to City of Wellington, Kentucky
The City of Wellington, established in 1946, is a home rule city comprised of 259 homes and approximately 600 residents centrally located in the upper Highlands. Our combination of friendly residents, tree-lined streets, sidewalks, and central location ranks the City of Wellington among the more desirable destinations in Jefferson County. The City is within walking distance to neighborhood restaurants, shopping, historical sites, and parks. We are adjacent to the interstate and just minutes from downtown, malls, movies, and more.
We hope this site provides convenience to all our residents. Please check back often for updates. We look forward to hearing your thoughts and suggestions. We need your email! Please register here so that we can notify you of important events and information. This website was established to connect residents with City leadership, provide access to important City information, and keep residents up-to-date about City affairs and events.
Meetings are held every 4th Tuesday of the month at the Farmington Visitor’s Center at 6:30 pm. However, during these unprecedented Covid-19 quarantine times, the meetings will be held via Zoom.
All residents are invited to attend. If you need to address a concern, please read the procedures to voice your concerns first. Then contact the mayor to be added to the agenda.
Attention New Residents, Potential Residents and Realtors.
This Welcome to Wellington Letter will get you acquainted with ordinances, permit requirements, and other general information.
